Automatic Garage doors - Will it fit?

Garage door openers can be fitted to several types of garage door. Yours is almost certainly one of them.

One-piece up and over retracting doors (sometimes called 'semi projecting') and sectional doors as well as side - hung doors can be converted into automatic garage doors.

Things to watch for automatic garage doors:

• if yours is a sectional garage door you may need use an additional device attached to the top section
• canopy doors need a converter to make it successfull, or a change of lifting gear to make it fully retracting;
• side hung or swing out doors need a simple adapter.

Retracting garage doors do not need modification, nor do most sectional doors. Just the addition of the Garage door opener.

Lots of automatic garage doors & garage door openers require several inches of head room above the door and this is often a problem. But 4See and others Somfy garage door openers require only 30 mm clearance above the door to the ceiling, and can be used where many others cannot.
